I just finished watching ADAM AND EVE AGAINST THE CANNIBALS and Steven Luotto dubbed Mark Gregory in that, too. I guess he became the go-to guy for Gregory’s English dubs, embodying him very well.

Actually Mark Gregory didn’t dub his voice over for the English dub, he didn’t know English and didn’t bother to learn. His voice is actually dubbed over by Steven Luotto, a rather prolific English dubber in Italian movies . Luotto would do Gregory for at least two more movies, the sequel Escape from the Bronx and Thunder Warrior. So it’s kind really Luotto’s really responsible for the stiff delivery.
Similarly Vic Morrow due to his untimely death was unable to loop his lines over as he is dubbed by Edward Mannix which is really weird to hear as I know how Vic Morrow actually sounds and he’s not close to Mannix’s voice.

Not sure if you guys knew this, but Blue Underground have confirmed that they are planning to release, on Blu-ray, three films directed by Enzo G. Castellari: 1990: Bronx Warriors (1982), Escape from the Bronx a.k.a. Bronx Warriors II (1983). and The New Barbarians a.k.a. Warriors of the Wasteland (1983). The three release are expected to arrive on the market in early 2015.

Thanks for the info! According to Amazon UK, the set is All-Region but in PAL format, which would probably create a problem for North American viewers. It’s a shame since it’d be fun to own a box set featuring all three of Castellari’s post-apocalyptic films.

What is your personal ranking of the trilogy?

In the UK (and perhaps elsewhere) it’s possible to pick up a set from Shameless Films which contains all of Castellari’s three post-apocalyptic films. They are misleadingly called the “Bronx Warriors trilogy”, but it’s a beautiful set that I really recommend. Personally, I think Escape From the Bronx is by far the best of the three.
