There’s a lot of bitterness and resentment there, that’s for sure.

It seems like Conan Lee is a big fan of Mark Houghton! 😛 –

Copying below –

BL: Do you get to fight Conan Lee in the film?

MH: I was supposed to, but unfortunately there were a lot of political problems on the set. There were too many stars. In the original ‘Aces Go Places’ there were just the two of them, Carl Mak and Sam Hui. Then Mak’s character got married and had a little son and so there were four of them. In this film, he doesn’t have a wife and son. They’re supposed to have gone to Canada. This is because the actress was asking for too much money! There were still too many stars on the set, and most of them being singers and actors, can’t fight. Carl Mak says that he doesn’t want Conan to fight because he’ll look too good and make them look stupid! Originally there was to be a big fight at the end involving Melvin Wong and Billy Chong, but Billy left half-way through the end scene because he was being lazy and difficult with Liu Chi Liang, who was doing the fight sequences. They were supposed to fight Mak and Hui, and I would fight Conan Lee. However, Conan had an argument with Carl Mak, who is the head of Cinema City, and Mak told him not to fight, but to come out with an M-16 and arrest everybody, which he did. However, when I saw the film, they’d even cut that out! They also cut out a fight between myself and Leslie Cheung where I used Monkey Boxing.
