Oh yes! It’s such a shame that there’s so many gems out there with no official release.

I’d love for License to Steal, Angel Terminators 2, Stone Age Warriors, and many more of Yukari Oshima, Moon Lee, and Elaine Liu’s films to get that treatment.

That would be a day one purchase for me, especially if it was on Blu-Ray…

Amazon Prime had some of these Girls With Guns movies streaming for awhile, but a lot of the movies – including Angel 2 – had their aspect ratios horribly cropped or blown up, so you weren’t getting the full frame. As a film buff, that stuff drives me nuts so I couldn’t deal with it.

Even worse, the DVD I ordered of the first Iron Angels was defective (I suspect it was cheap glue), so the last third of the movie started skipping and was unplayable. I had to finish the movie on YouTube.

All of this to say, these movies deserve better treatment and preservation. I would love to have Iron Angels, She Shoots Straight, Yes Madam, Righting Wrongs, and so many more on good hi-def releases.

I love the first one.

Does anyone know of any decent dvd releases of part 2 (and 3)? I can see there have been some German releases but I can’t find one that definitely has an English language version (dubbed or subbed).

Good review and informative comments! Yukari Oshima is one of my favorite fighters. I agreed with your observations about Cheng Pei Pei. Now I can’t get this picture of David Chiang playing “Charlie”, lol.

Great read! Hopefully there will be a resurgence of GWG flicks, but these days, with CG and all that BS, they would be hard to appreciate. They be concentrating too much on pretty faces.
